Ujjain: Lakhs of devotees took dip in the Kshipra river on the second Shahi Snan which was held today.
The 'Shahi Snan' began early in the morning. Actress Manisha Koirala was also at Ujjain to take the dip.
She was present in the Pilot Baba's group and went with devotees to river Kshipra for the 'snan'.
The Mahamandleshwar, the mahants and the saints of Panchdashnam Juna, Awahan and Agni Akhadas took a dip first.
They were followed by Sadhus, Saints of all the 13 major akhadas. Later, lakhs of devotees who had come from all corners of the country, took a dip into the river.
The Mahamandleshwar of Juna, Awahan and Agni Akhadas, had arrived, riding elephant.
At the river side, in-charge minister Bhupendra Singh welcomed the saints. The devotees kept taking holy dips till late evening.
All through the day, the people visited the famous Mahakaleshwar temple to pay obeisance and there was heavy crowd at the temple.
