BHOPAL: A stuntman who was known for pulling heavy vehicles including buses and trucks by his ear, committed suicide in Korba in Chhattisgarh.
Laxmi Narayan Patel was well-known for his feats all over Chhattisgarh.
Patel, 47, committed suicide in his house in Korba. Police sources said that he was depressed.
He wanted to drag a plane at the airport and had sought permission, which was not given. He sought local administration's support but was denied.
Later, he approached higher authorities but to no avail. Family members said that he wanted government support and had written to the chief minister that he wanted to display his skills in front of him, however, he was not given the permission.
Patel again tried to get the permission by putting forward his application at the Jan Darshan programme. He wanted his performance to be recorded in the Guiness Book of Records.
But apparently the failure to get a platform to showcase his skills, depressed him.
