HORRIFIC: Rape bid with minor who was later murdered, body parts extracted

KANPUR: In a heart-rending incident, a six-year-old girl was murdered and her body parts were extracted. 

The girl had been taken to the jungle by two youths, who allegedly tried to rape her, and after the murder, took out her liver. 

The post-mortem report had revealed that the body parts were missing and during the investigation, police caught the suspects who spilled the beans.

According to police, the incident occurred in Ghatampur in Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh. The missing girl's body was found and the body parts were missing. The duo--Ankul and Virendra alias Biren, told police that they had been given money for the act and were asked to hand over the girl's liver to the main accused, Parshuram.

Police said that during interrogation, it was found that Parshuram was childless and someone had told him that his wife would give birth to a child, if they undertake an occult ritual. He was under the impression that a minor's liver would have to be consumed for the purpose and hence gave some money to his nephew and the latter's friend.

Subsequently, the duo bought biscuits and lured the girl, taking her to a desolate place in the forests. The girl was murdered in cold-blood and the vital organs were taken out and handed to Parshuram. The girl who hailed from Bhadras, a nearby village, was lured when she had gone out to buy firecrackers on the night of Diwali on November 14. 

After the body was recovered, there was anger and outrage among the local residents. Finally, the culprits were identified and arrested. The duo was booked for rape and murder. Investigation revealed that a book bought from a stall at the railway station, had given the strange idea to Parshuram. All the three accused have been arrested.
