Flood inspection: Photos of Chouhan, his footwear carried by cops go viral

BHOPAL: Two photographs of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan being carried by security personnel, while he was on an inspection of the flood-hit areas, have gone viral.

In the first photo, policemen are seen carrying him through a stretch of water. While in other photo, a security personnel is seen carrying his footwear while Chouhan is wading through muddy water.

In the second photo, all others except Chouhan, are wearing footwears. These photos were posted by different persons onFacebook and Twitter on Sunday evening. 

Chouhan was on a visit to Eastern Madhya Pradesh, which is facing flood situation. He has visited Rewa-Satna as well as Panna region during his inspection.

Political parties have criticised Chouhan for the elitist attitude taken during the inspection.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national spokesperson Akshay Hunka tweeted the photographs, questioning if this was the way of conducting a survey to assess the flood situation.

Activist Ajay Dubey also tweeted and posted the pictures on Facebook, raising questions over the manner in which Chouhan undertook the inspection. 

In a post, Dubey said that CM should respond as to how security personnel is carrying his footwear.

There were also funny comments. 'Modi Sarkar to Godi Sarkar' and 'Paani mein nikla naa karo Vyapam ke Raja' were some of the comments made on social media.
