Bhopal: In an interesting turn of events, the Madhya Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) finds itself an ‘accused’ in the MP Public Service Commission (MPPSC) state civil services exam paper leak case.
Daughter of Bediram Bharti, the key accused in MPPSC paper leak case, has registered an FIR against MP STF in Gurgaon (Haryana) sector 10(A) police station, claiming that the STF abducted her father.
Bediram, according to STF, was arrested from Gurgaon on May 23 along with his nephew Deepak Kumar in the MPPSC case. However in FIR, Bediram’s daughter, Priyanka claimed that the some personnel, claiming to be MP STF officers ‘abducted’ her father at ‘gun-point’ on May 21.
The Gurgaon police was not taken into loop in the matter, Priyanka has said.
An application to this effect was moved in Bhopal chief judicial magistrate court where Bediram was presented on Tuesday by his counsel Ajay Gupta. The court however held that since the FIR was registered with Haryana police, it would investigate the matter.
Since Bediram had been presented in Bhopal court as accused in MPPSC case, the court granted him and Deepak Kumar to custody of STF till June 2.
Bediram is key accused in MPPSC civil services 2012 paper leak case. He reportedly leaked five papers of preliminary exams and two of main exams. He had been arrested in 2014 in the MPPSC Ayurvedic Medical Officers paper leak case and the STF had found during interrogation about his involvement in state civil services paper leak case.
He had been granted bail and had jumped it in 2015. He was absconding since and the MP STF had announced reward of Rs 10,000 on him.
