Creative presentations based on constitutional values presented at ‘Samvidhan Utsav’

BHOPAL: Creative presentations including songs and poetry marked the ‘Samvidhan Utsav’ – an event organised in Bhopal on occasion of 75th year of Indian constitution.

 

The event was organised at the Dushyant Kumar Sangrahalaya jointly by NGOs National Foundation for India, Vikas Samvad Samiti and Shadow as part of the series of countrywide programmes to highlight constitutional values.

 

Prominent among those who made the musical and poetic presentations included Padmashree awardees Kaluram Bamaniya and Babulal Dahiya, Ali Abbas Ummed, Upasana Behar, Tarasingh Dodwe, Seema Bajaj, Ritesh Gohia, Ravi Rathod and others.

 

At the outset, Satyendra Pandey of National Foundation for India welcomed the guests and gave details about the countrywide campaign ‘Samvidhan se Hum’ (We from Constitution).

 

Upasana Behar started with recitation of children’s stories. Babulal Dahiya presented poetries and couplets in Bagheli dialect. Senior litterateur Ali Abbas Ummeed presented Ghazals based on human values.

 

Artists of Tatsang Band presented devotional songs by Sant Kabir. Tarasingh Dodwe presented self-written songs based on Indian constitution in Malwi dialect. Members of the Samtar Band presented songs like ‘Samvidhan hum banate hain’ (we make the Constitution) and ‘Har dil mein Samvidhan’ (Constitution in every heart).

 

At the conclusion, bhajan (devotional songs) singer Kaluram Bamaniya presented Sant Kabir’s devotional renditions in typical Malwi style.

 

Ipsa Sarangi, Mahtab Alam and Radhika Ralhan honoured the artists. Rakesh Kumar Malviya proposed the vote of thanks.
