AGAR MALWA: An interesting twist has been revealed in the kidnapping case of a two-year-old boy from the district hospital premises on Friday.

The main accused, Ajay Suryavanshi alias Radhe Shyam had ‘married’ a transgender four month ago and had abducted the child to fulfill his and his partner’s parental urge.

The kidnapped boy Aayan had been rescued by Kotwali police in Agar Malwa within 24 hours of the incident. He had been recovered from Manisha, the transgender, at village Ghonsla, about 35km from district headquarters.

Following interrogation of Manisha, police arrested Ajay, who had picked up the child from the district hospital. The couple’s further interrogation revealed the interesting story.

They told police that they knew and loved each other from two years and had married in a temple in Rajkot (Gujarat) about four months ago. Though could not produce any evidence of the ‘marriage’.

Realising that they would not be able to have a child, they planned to abduct a child and Ajay did so on Friday 15 from district hospital campus, where the child had come with his father for treatment.

Investigation officer of Kotwali police station, Rajendra Jadhav said that both accused have been remanded to judicial custody and action to confiscate mobile phone, clothes and other material used in the crime was on.
