Bhopal: A woman who had gone to meet her jailed husband was raped by a jail security personnel on the prison premises in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident occurred in Ashok Nagar jail, recently. The victim is a 25-year-old woman. Her husband was recently arrested in a case of assault and she had come to meet him.
However, Hari Narayan Batham, 50, who is posted in the jail's security told her that it was evening and she could meet her husband only the next day.
Batham told her the woman that he would help her get a room to stay in the night. Later, he told her that she could stay in his official residence on jail premises. He took her along and raped her. Batham and two others raped her.
The three persons have been booked for rape. They have been absconding. The police have registered a case against them.
