Bhopal: Whistleblower in Vyapam Scam and ex-MLA Paras Sakhlecha has expressed dissatisfaction with the scam probe progress under the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Sakhlecha who approached the High Court in Vyapam as well as DMAT (dental and medical admission test conducted by private medical colleges’ association) matter, has been rabidly following up on the Vyapam probe.

He met the Vyapam probe head Manish Sinha, the CBI DIG in Bhopal recently to express his concerns and dissatisfaction, Sakhlecha told NewsBits.in

The former MLA said that during the two-and-half hour discussion, he highlighted the fact that though there were 212 cases registered by MP Police Special Task Force in Vyapam Scam, the CBI was only probing 153 cases. Also, the CBI hadn’t taken any cognizance of 1000-odd complaints filed by different citizens.

“I told them that if they looked into these complaints, many other aspects of the case would come to light,” Sakhlecha said.

The CBI took over Vyapam probe in July 2015 following a Supreme Court order. There are over 3500-odd accused in 212 cases including some high profile people including ex-minister Laxmikant Sharma. The CBI is also probing 41 deaths related to the scam.
