Carcass of an about 4 years old tiger has been found in Pench Tiger Reserve.
In initial enquiry, cause of the death seems to be attack by another tiger, said officials.
The incident occurred in in Satosha Beat of Karmajhiri Range. The dead tiger has a deep incision in its chest, left side rib bones are broken and there are signs of claws of another tiger, the officials further said.
Death's main cause is found to be respiratory system failure. Range director Shubh Ranjan Sen said that a tiger couple is also being seen for the last 3-4 days in the area where the tiger has been found dead.
Possibly, the same tiger might have attacked the dead tiger during territorial fight. This tiger had separated from its 3 siblings and mother recently. The tiger was trapped on the cameras of Park Management with its siblings in December 2015.
