Bhopal: Sadhvi Trikal Bhavanta, the controversial head of all-women Pari Akhada has been arrested from the Simhastha venue in Ujjain and sent to jail.
The Sadhvi, who was threatening to take 'Samadhi' (live burial) on the issue of denial to the Pari Akhada a special slot in Shahi Snan (special holy dip) during Simhastha, has been charged with 'disturbance of peace' at the holy congregation venue.
The Sadhvi was arrested on Wednesday and produced in court along with one of her associates. The court remanded her to judicial custody (sent to jail).
The Sadhvi had gotten down in a ten-feet deep ditch on Tuesday and her associates had started pouring earth in the ditch as she threatened Samadhi. After long persuance, the Sadhvi had come out of the ditch, but had given a 24-hour ultimatum for fulfilling of her demand for special snan slot.
