BHOPAL: A retired bank general manager committed suicide in his Danish Hills residence on Thursday evening.

Rajesh Pratap Singh Baghel, 64, shot self with his 12 bore gun. He died on the spot.

His wife and daughter were watching TV in the other room when the incident occurred.

A 2-1/2 page long suicide note was found in which he had mentioned that, ‘beliefs are changing with time, I must leave early”.

He also wrote that he didn't belieave in God and just had faith in humanity. He wrote that his body should be donated to AIIMS.

Baghel had retired from MP State Cooperative, Agricultural and Rural Development Bank in 2013. He had shifted to his Danish Hills flat a few months ago. Family members said that they had no inkling that he could end his life.

The room was shut from inside. After breaking the window glass, the family members entered the room and fond him dead.

The neighbours called the police. Baghel’s eldest son lives in America. One of his daughter is married and lives in Hyderabad.

The youngest daughter lived here. In the suicide note, he mentioned that his elder son and daughter were well-settled and hence the property would be for his wife and younger daughter.

The police officials from the Kolar police station had reached the spot soon after the incident. Investigation is on to ascertain the circumstances that led to the suicide. The content of the suicide note is to be analyzed to find out what he meant and whether something prompted him to end life.
