BHOPAL: A patwari committed suicide in Hoshangabad, said police on Tuesday.
The official--DP Narvaria, ended his life due to 'harassment'. He has left a suicide note.
In this handwritten letter, he has blamed the district collector (who has now been posted elsewhere) and a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), for prompting him to end his life.
Narvaria wrote that he was harassed and an FIR was registered against him without his fault and even without any inquiry. This distressed him and he decided to end his life.
The police said that the suicide note has been recovered. It will be examined to ascertain the veracity of the charges. Apart from Narvaria, another woman official Snehlata Malviya also ended life in the same district. She blamed a superior for harassment. This case is also being probed.
