BHOPAL: The body of Ibris Khan, who was missing since the Khargone riot, has been recovered.
The victim's kin identified the 28-year-old man.
Ibris, father of an eight-month-old child, was apparently killed a day after the clash took place.
The violence had taken place on April 10 when the Ramnavami procession was taken out. An injured Ibris Khan was found during the violence and was later declared dead. The body was later sent to Indore district for post-mortem.
All the while, his kin were looking for his whereabouts. He died due to head injuries. Apparently, the rioters attacked him with a blunt object(s). He is survived by wife and son. The child had just barely learnt to say 'Abbu', family members told the journalists.
The district administration has announced an ex gratia relief of Rs 4 lakh as assistance to the kin. The violence took place after allegedly inflammatory slogans in the procession. The administration later demolished houses and shops of people. Multiple FIRs have been registered in connection with the violence.
