Bhopal: In a bizarre incident, a septuagenarian woman in Rehti of Sehore district died after assailants chopped both her legs to take away her heavy silver anklets.
Incidentally, the woman had come out of her home in the wee hours of Sunday to attend nature’s call as she did not have a toilet at home.
The incident occurred at Babri village in Rehti. The body of the woman in a pool of blood was discovered early morning sending shockwaves in the village.
The culprits are yet to be identified. It is being surmised that the woman died due to excessive bleeding as both her legs were chopped off.
Sehore police are investigating the matter with teams spread out to identify and nab the accused, sources said.
