BHOPAL:

Irked over the condition of roads in Bhopal, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reprimanded the officials.

A visibly angry, Shivraj, said that he no longer wants any excuse, it's time to act.

'The roads with potholes must be repaired immediately', he said.

Chouhan clearly said that the responsibility of the condition of roads--repair must be with one or two agencies, not multiple ones. He said that there was no need for Capital Project Authority (CPA) anymore.

Recently, a video of the poor condition of road in front of Bhopal talkies had been shared on social media. It had gone viral. The chief minister is also upset as opposition has already made it an issue. Former CM Digvijaya Singh and other Congress leaders have been attacking the government over the condition of roads.

In the review meeting, he said that why officers don't look after the condition of roads. "Why no plan is made and no coordination among different agencies". He asked officers that why potholes appear and when officers said that due to sewerage and water line works, the maintenance of roads was affected, Chouhan said that there was no need for such replies, it should have been planned and thought about earlier, as maintenance can go along side.
