BHOPAL: A senior officer of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) has asked government employees in the department to spend time under the sun.
The officer is concerned that these employees are not getting adequate Vitamin D, and it can affect their health.
Deepali Rastogi, who is posted as Commissioner with the Tribal Affairs department, has issued this order.
It says that the employees come to office in the morning, at around 10.30 am and work throughout the day. As a result, they don't get adequate contact with sun which is needed for a healthy body.
A copy of this order is in possession with us. The order says that the employees are expected that during the lunch hours, they should go to the roof of the office and be under the sun, as per their need or wish.
They have been asked to follow the routine on a regular basis so that they get the necessary Vitamin D.
