This horrific incident took place in Hathras town in Uttar Pradesh. The girl's condition remains critical and has been rushed to Delhi for treatment.

The girl was initially admitted in Aligarh and was on ventilator support, and is now battling for life in Delhi. The police said that four accused who were named in the FIR have been arrested. Several officials were in denial, until there were reports in national media.
