Bhopal: A woman put Feviquick, adhesive, into her husband's eyes, when he was asleep at home.

The incident has occurred in Rewa in Eastern Madhya Pradesh.

The man, Santosh Vishwakarma, 40, is under observation and doctors are trying to remove the glue and open his eyes.

Vishwakarma and his wife Vijay Laxmi often had domestic disputes. After a similar row, she waited for her husband to sleep and then put the adhesive into his eyes.

When he got up, Vishwakarma couldn't open his eyes. The eyelashes were stuck. When he shouted, neighbours came to his rescue.

An ambulance had to be called and he was taken to the hospital. Incidentally, his wife ran away after the incident. The family hasn't made any formal complaint as yet.

The doctors said that adhesive has got inside the eyes and it is not prudent to operate right now. The reason is that  it could harm his eyes.

The civil surgeon said that efforts were on to melt the glue in the eyelashes so that they could find the extent of internal damage to eyes. Only once the eyes are open, they could ascertain the damage to the sight.
