Controversial saint Nithyananda has made a royal entry into the Simhastha, with his followers. Nithyananda who was in the eye of storm after an alleged sex scandal, reached Ujjain, in style.
He rode a golden chariot and was accompanied by many Indian and foreigner disciples. It was the most opulent procession during the peshwai. Flowers were thrown from a helicopter on Nithyananda's chariot.
There are 18 chariots in his entire procession. Nithyananda was arrested when a sex scandal broke in 2010-11. A Tamil actress was among many other women who had accused him of sexual exploitation.
Later, his ashram was raided and he was arrested. Nithyananda had claimed that he was impotent.Indore-based a seer had objected when Nithyananda's posters were spotted in Ujjain recently.
The posters were removed. But now nithyananda has made a grand entry into the Simhastha. Chariots, buggees, foreigners carrying the flags, were part of the grand spectacle and the most impressive of processions in Simhastha till date.
