BHOPAL: A woman from China who had recently come to visit India, has alleged that she was raped in Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh.

The 25-year-old woman has now lodged a complaint though the accused haven't been arrested as yet.

According to police, the woman had arrived in Khajuraho and was staying at a hotel. A group of local youths offered her tea when she was taking a walk on the streets in the town.

The complainant says that she accepted the offer but after taking a few sips, she fell unconscious. When she woke up she realised that she had been raped. Subsequently, she lodged a complaint with the police.

She said that after leaving the hotel, she was walking towards the museum, when the youths gave her offer to have tea with them at a road side kiosk. When she gained consciousness, she found herself at a desolate spot. The plaint has been made with the police.

The police said that probe has been initiated in this regard. However, no one has been caught as yet. This is the second such incident after a foreigner was raped in a hotel by the masseur. That incident had occurred in a hotel in Chandigarh.

The woman hailing from Britain, was raped by the hotel employee who worked as a masseur. He later managed to flee. In that case too, the accused who escaped to Bijnore, hasn't been arrested.
