Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator Balbir Dandotia assaulted a doctor in Morena district hospital in Madhya Pradesh in early hours of Tuesday.
The MLA allegedly assaulted Dr Anup Gupta for delay in treating victims of an accident.
An elderly man was reportedly killed in the accident. The Morena superintendent of police (SP) has ordered an enquiry into the incident.
