After three policemen killed, cops shoot poachers in 'encounter' in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: Three policemen were shot dead by poachers in the forests of Aron in Guna district.
Stunned, the MP police conducted a hunt and two poachers were killed in 'encounter' later.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced a financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to each of the slain policeman's family.
The policemen who died included Rajkumar Jatav, Neeraj Bhargava and Santram Meena. They had got information that black bucks and peacock were being killed by poachers for a wedding feast.
When the policemen reached the spot, the pochers fired at them. All the three policemen got bulllet injuries in the chest and they died. However, the driver got injured and survived. Those who died include a sub-inspector, a head constable and a constable.
Among the poachers, the police later shot dead Naushad and Shahzad in an encounter. Though there was report that another persons was also shot, but this was yet to be confimed. Around a dozen suspects including poachers' associates have been rounded up and are being questioned.
Five houses have been bulldozed to send a strong message to lawbreakers. These houses belong to the families of the poachers. Chief Minister took a serious note of the murder of policemen and ordered a compensation. Also, IG Anil Sharma, has been removed from the present posting, as he had reached the spot, late.
