Former Dy CM's son, daughter-in-law and grandkid murdered, elder son arrested

KORBA/RAIPUR: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, (late) Pyarelal Kanwar's family members including his younger son, Harish, daughter-in-law Sumitra and a granddaughter, Ashi, 4, were killed at their house in Korba.

Kanwar's elder son has been arrested for the crime along with another accomplice. Police said that Harish's elder brother Harbhajan Kanwar, his wife Dhan Kunwar and teenaged daughter, had left home just before the incident. They had told police that they had gone for morning walk.

A few minutes later, two persons entered and killed the remaining people in the house viz. Harish, Sumitra and Ashi. The two persons, Parmeshwar and Ram Prasad, who had kept faces covered, committed the murders. The eder son had informed the police about the killings.

However, there was suspicion as he told the police about turn of the events. The police had also got a tip from neighbours about conflict among the brothers' families. Harbhajan was upset that his younger brother had more money and property. Five persons have been arrested. The shocking incident took place in Korba district in Chhattisgarh.

Dhan Kunwar had planned it and her husband was part of the conspiracy. The hired killers tried a similar attack on April 18 but couldn't succeed then. The duo had entered that day but felt someone was awake inside, hence, ran away. However, on this occasion they brutally killed the trio. The messages were found in the killer's cell phone too.  Kanwar was Deputy Chief Minister in undivided MP that included Chhattisgarh. [April 23, 2021 NewsBits.in]
