Deputy forest ranger crushed to death by sand mafia in MP

MORENA: In a brazen incident that shows total disregard of law by sand mafia, a deputy ranger of MP forest department was crushed by a tractor-trolley laden with illegally mined sand in Morena district.

The incident occurred close to a forest check post near Deori village off national highway 3, late on Thursday night.

The deputy ranger, Subedar Singh, 60 was trying to stop the tractor-trolleys laden with sand when one of them hit him deliberately, police said. He was later rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
