Umar Khalid survives assassination bid

Former JNU student Umar Khalid survived an attack on his life on Monday. Khalid was shot at just outside the high-security constitution club in New Delhi.


An unidentified man fired at him and managed to escape in the ensuing melee. The attacker is yet to be identified. The firearm was found on the spot. The Delhi police have begun a probe in this regard. [New Delhi, August 13, 2018 NewsBits.in]
