Gold spire stolen from historic MP temple

The golden spire on the dome of the famous Ram Janki temple in Shivpuri, has been stolen. The cost of the heavy gold spire (weighing nearly 50 kg) was well over 15 crores. In fact, estimates are even higher. It is a historic temple that was built by the rulers of the erstwhile princely state in the past. There were similar attempts earlier too but they couldn't succeed then. The police have formed teams to catch the thieves.
