Policeman attacked, killed in Madhya Pradesh

A policeman who had gone to arrest a wanted criminal, was attacked and murdered in Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh. Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Devchand Nagle had gone to arrest a man, Jauhar Thakur, when the latter and his supporters attacked him. Nagle was overpowered and attacked with an axe apart from lathis. He died on the spot. He was posted in Umreth police station. [Bhopal, July 25 2018, NewsBits.in]
