Panchayat forces Dalit man to lick spit in UP

A middle-aged man was allegedly humiliated and forced to lick his own spit by the panchayat. The complainant--Shri Krishna, a resident of Sonda Habibpur in Bulandshahar, has filed a plaint with the police. He said that after his son married a girl belonging to another caste, he was called to panchayat, threatened that women of his family would be raped and was made to lick his own spit.
