Animation Society to make films on children issues to disseminate vital messages

BHOPAL: The Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics Society (AVGC), Bhopal and the collective Corporate4Children held a meeting on April 22 at Career College on the theme of use of animation for public communication campaigns.
Manish Rajoriya, Founding Director of AVGC, Bhopal, made a presentation on the power of animation and how traditional communication channels have been replaced by new story telling animation, characters and comics.
William Hanlon, Chief of UNICEF Madhya Pradesh, highlighted universal appeal of animation as a powerful tool for engaging the public, particularly in advocating for child rights. Furthermore, he noted that while artificial intelligence offers significant advantages for modern outreach, it also presents unique challenges that must be navigated carefully.
"Animation has the unique ability to make complex information simple and accessible to everyone," said Anil Gulati, Communication Specialist at UNICEF Madhya Pradesh. "By combining animation with compelling storytelling, we can effectively disseminate vital messages on child health, disaster risk reduction, immunization, child protection, and other key issues."
Ram Tiwari of MP Tourism Board spoke on the support being offered by the State Government to promote animation and how MP Tourism is using animation to promote tourism and film tourism.
Prof Diwakar Shukla, Director Communications, Jagran Social Welfare Society said that AI is machine-based and needs human connect and mind. He said AVGC can work on social causes to promote efforts of AVGC and animation.
Members of AVGC shared their thoughts on use of animation, challenges and ideas. AVGC will make animation on the social issues of child health, themes like lightning etc to spread awareness on pro bono basis.
Brijesh Sondhiya, Secretary AVGC, Shailesh Pahuja of AVGC Association, Shivam Solanki, Yash Agarwal and Vijay Amarnath of Career Design School and other members of AVGC were present and spoke at the meeting.
