Earthquake tremors in Eastern MP

Tremors were felt in Singrauli town in Eastern Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday evening. The earthquake struck the region at around 7.42 pm. The tremors were again felt two minutes later.
Panic-struck people who came out of their homes as the tremors were felt for almost 15 seconds. At 7.44 pm too, there were similar tremors. The magnitude of the earthquake was 4.6 on the Richter scale. Two NTPC units were affected and it took nearly three hours before they could restart. No loss of life or property was reported till the filing of this report.
