LoP's stand on Lokayukta appointment questioned

In what appears to be a rift within Congress, party's Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha has questioned appointment of Naresh Kumar Gupta as Lokayukta as he is much junior to Deputy Lokayukta UC Maheshwari. In a tweet, Tankha wondered how CJ and Leader of Opposition (Ajay Singh) could tolerate this transgression. Leader of Oppn's assent is needed for the selection of Lokayukta. As Ajay Singh had been critical of Chouhan govt on such appointments, the rift within Congress is now in the open.
